From research to your next car
MG has knocked $2,000 off the MG4 EV Urban, making it the cheapest new electric car you can drive out of a showroom in Australia. But the deal ends 30 September, and a sharp national price is only half the battle. Here is what you actually get and how to keep dealers honest.
GWM has unveiled the Ora 5 hatchback for Australia. Same 58kWh battery, same 150kW motor as the SUV, but with a sportier stance and likely lower price. The brand is going hard against the BYD Dolphin and MG4 Urban.
ANCAP has handed five-star ratings to four new and updated models: the BYD Seal 6 PHEV, the MG4 EV Urban, the six-seat Tesla Model Y L, and the Skoda Octavia. The Seal 6 leads the field on adult occupant protection. Here is what each car scored and where the Model Y L has child-seat issues.
