Nissan Ariya Price Cut: Now From $42,990 Drive-Away

Nissan has dropped the Ariya electric SUV to $42,990 drive-away for October buyers. The deal covers all four grades, but it is a stock clearance ahead of an updated model, and that changes how you should negotiate.

The Nissan Ariya has suddenly become a sharp-priced way into a mid-size electric SUV in Australia. Nissan is now advertising the Ariya from $42,990 drive-away, and every grade in the range has been repriced.

The catch is simple. This is a stock clearance on the current car, with an updated Ariya already revealed overseas. That is good news if you buy it the right way, and expensive if you do not.

The Nissan Ariya drive-away price, grade by grade

Nissan's own offers page lists four maximum recommended drive-away prices for October. The Engage is $42,990, the Advance is $44,990, the Advance+ is $51,990 and the flagship Evolve e-4ORCE is $60,990.

The pricing applies to private and ABN buyers on new and demonstrator cars bought between 1 October and 31 October 2026. The car also has to be delivered by 30 November 2026, and premium paint is extra.

Government, rental and national fleet buyers are excluded. Nissan also reserves the right to vary, extend or withdraw the offer, so treat the end of October as a real deadline.

What your money buys in each grade

The Engage and Advance use a 63kWh battery with a claimed 385km of WLTP range. The two-wheel-drive Engage has a single 160kW and 300Nm motor, plus a 12.3-inch touchscreen and ProPilot with lane keep assist.

The Advance adds Nissan's Intelligent Around View Monitor with moving object detection, a hands-free power tailgate, a 10-speaker Bose stereo and heated front seats and steering wheel. For $2000 more than the Engage, that is the value pick if 385km suits your driving.

The Advance+ moves to an 87kWh battery and a claimed 504km of range. It also brings a head-up display, a panoramic glass roof and ventilated front seats with heated rear seats.

The Evolve is the only Ariya with e-4ORCE dual-motor all-wheel drive. Nissan quotes 0-100km/h in 5.6 seconds, 600Nm of combined torque and a 1500kg braked towing capacity.

Why Nissan is clearing Ariya stock now

The timing of this deal is not an accident. Nissan has already revealed an updated Ariya overseas with a redesigned front end, Google built-in infotainment, vehicle-to-load capability and suspension changes aimed at comfort.

Nissan Australia has not confirmed local timing for that update. Still, a factory-backed drive-away offer across the whole range, demonstrators included, is classic runout behaviour.

That matters for resale. When the updated car lands, the outgoing model's trade-in value usually takes a hit. A sharp purchase price now is what protects you from that later.

How dealers will play the Ariya runout

Expect dealers to lead with the $42,990 headline and then steer you towards a higher grade or a demonstrator. Demonstrators can be good buying, but check the build date, the odometer and how much warranty has already been used.

Remember these are maximum recommended drive-away prices. A dealer sitting on aged stock can go lower, especially late in the month when targets are due.

Also watch for add-ons. Paint protection, tinting and extended warranties are where a clearance discount quietly gets clawed back. Ask for the final drive-away figure in writing before you talk about extras.

Is the Ariya now good value against its rivals?

On sticker price, a $42,990 drive-away mid-size electric SUV is hard to argue with. The Engage's 385km range is the trade-off, so long-distance drivers should look hard at the Advance+ and its 504km claim.

If you are cross-shopping, line the Ariya up against the Toyota bZ4X, Kia EV5 and Hyundai Ioniq 5. Compare drive-away price, real-world range and warranty, not just the advertised number.

Nissan's warranty is a genuine point in the Ariya's favour. It runs up to 10 years or 300,000km when you service with Nissan dealers, and the battery has its own eight-year, 160,000km cover.

Discounting has been spreading across the EV market, as our look at the luxury EV price war shows, so it pays to compare widely.

How can Carseekers help?

A runout is the best time to have dealers compete for you. Carseekers lets you put the Nissan Ariya grade you want out to dealers, so they bid for your business instead of you visiting showroom after showroom.

You see real drive-away offers side by side, and you can check them against Nissan's October pricing before you commit.

The finance matters as much as the price. Dealer finance on a discounted EV can quietly eat the saving, so before you sign, compare a car loan with Loanseekers, which checks your options against more than 70 lenders. A lower rate on a $51,990 Advance+ is worth more than a free set of floor mats.

The bottom line on the Ariya deal

The Nissan Ariya at $42,990 drive-away is one of the sharpest EV deals of the month. Buy it because the price is right for an outgoing car, not because you think it is the newest thing in the showroom.

Pick the grade by range first, get competing quotes, keep the finance separate, and lock it in before 31 October.

The finer details

Your questions answered.

How much is the Nissan Ariya in Australia now?

Nissan is advertising the Ariya from $42,990 drive-away for the Engage, $44,990 for the Advance, $51,990 for the Advance+ and $60,990 for the Evolve e-4ORCE. These are maximum recommended drive-away prices for private and ABN buyers, and premium paint costs extra.

How long does the Nissan Ariya drive-away deal last?

The offer covers new and demonstrator Ariya vehicles bought between 1 October and 31 October 2026 and delivered by 30 November 2026. It is subject to stock at participating dealers, and Nissan can vary, extend or withdraw it.

What range does the Nissan Ariya have?

The Engage and Advance use a 63kWh battery with a claimed 385km WLTP range. The Advance+ steps up to an 87kWh battery and a claimed 504km. Real-world range will drop with highway speeds, heating, cooling and load.

Is the Nissan Ariya good value against other electric SUVs?

At $42,990 drive-away, the entry Ariya is a sharp price for a mid-size electric SUV. The fair comparison is range, warranty and resale, not just price, so line up the drive-away figure, WLTP range and warranty of rivals like the Tesla Model Y, Kia EV5 and Toyota bZ4X before deciding.

Should I wait for the updated Nissan Ariya?

Nissan has already revealed an updated Ariya overseas with a new front design, Google built-in infotainment and vehicle-to-load capability. If those features matter to you, wait. If you want the lowest price on a proven EV, the outgoing car at runout pricing is the better buy.

Does the Nissan Ariya come with a long warranty?

Nissan offers up to 10 years or 300,000km of warranty when the car is serviced at authorised Nissan dealers, otherwise it reverts to five years with unlimited kilometres. The battery is covered separately for eight years or 160,000km against capacity loss below nine of 12 bars.
