GWM EOFY 2026: Up to $4000 Off Cannon, Haval, Tank

GWM has put up to $4000 off the drive-away price of seven of its nine Australian models for end-of-financial-year, but only on 2025-built stock and only until 31 May 2026 unless extended. Most models offer a choice between cash off the drive-away price or a 1.99 per cent finance rate over three years. The Haval SUVs are the exception, where it is straight cash off, with the Haval H6 Ultra PHEV also tossing in a complimentary wall charger.

This is one of the broader EOFY pushes from a brand that has spent the last 18 months establishing itself as a credible mainstream option in Australia. The deals look strong on paper, but as always with EOFY pricing, the version that wins depends on whether you are paying cash or financing, and whether you actually need the model year that is being cleared.

What is on offer at a glance

For GWM Cannon utes and the Tank off-road SUVs, GWM is offering one of two options. Either an additional $2000 off the drive-away price, or a no-deposit, 1.99 per cent finance rate over a three-year term.

For the Tank 500 Ultra PHEV, the cash option jumps to $4000 off, taking the drive-away price down to $79,990. For the Haval SUVs, the deals are cash-only and run from $2000 off (Haval Jolion Vanta and H6 Lux) up to $4000 off (H6 Ultra and H6 Ultra PHEV).

All vehicles must be ordered and delivered by 31 May 2026 to qualify, unless extended, or while stocks last. All prices are based on Victorian pricing for private buyers, so confirm the equivalent figure for your state of registration before signing anything.

Cannon ute pricing

The Cannon Alpha Ultra is now $58,990 drive-away, the Lux is $42,490, the Lux Dual-cab Chassis is $43,490, the Premium is $40,490, the Premium Single Cab Chassis is $36,490, the Ultra is $45,490, the Vanta is $47,490 and the XSR is $51,990.

All non-Alpha-PHEV Cannons run a 2.4-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder making 135kW and 480Nm, paired to a nine-speed automatic with four-wheel drive. The base Premium grades use a different engine and lower spec, but every other Cannon shares this powertrain.

The Cannon Alpha PHEV, GWM's plug-in hybrid ute, runs a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol hybrid system with combined outputs of 300kW and 750Nm, 115km of all-electric range and 1060km of NEDC total driving distance. It is one of the most powerful PHEV utes on the market, sitting between the BYD Shark 6 and the soon-to-be-released JAC Hunter on outputs.

Tank 300 and Tank 500 pricing

The Tank 300 Ultra is offered with the same choice of $2000 off or a 1.99 per cent finance rate. Drive-away pricing sits at $50,990 for the petrol Ultra and $52,990 for the diesel Ultra.

The Tank 500 Ultra PHEV is the standout, with $4000 off pulling drive-away pricing down to $79,990. That is well-equipped seven-seat ladder-frame off-road SUV money, and a real challenger to the Toyota Prado and Ford Everest at this price point. The 1.99 per cent finance rate option remains, so buyers who want the lower monthly repayment have an alternative to taking the cash discount.

Haval H6 and H6 GT pricing

The Haval H6 GT is now $43,490 drive-away with a $3000 saving. The H6 Lux is $33,990 drive-away with a $2000 saving, the H6 Ultra is $39,990 with a $4000 saving, and the H6 Ultra PHEV is $43,990 with a $4000 saving plus a complimentary wall charger.

The Haval Jolion Vanta picks up $2000 off, taking it to $31,990 drive-away. It runs a 1.5-litre turbo petrol making 130kW and 270Nm matched to a seven-speed dual-clutch.

Depending on grade and model, Haval SUVs come with petrol, hybrid or plug-in hybrid powertrains, with the H6 Ultra PHEV AWD topping out at a combined 268kW and 760Nm.

Cash off vs. finance: which deal really wins

The choice between $2000 cash off or 1.99 per cent finance over three years is not as obvious as it looks. Run the numbers on your scenario before deciding.

If you are buying outright with cash, take the $2000 discount. There is no contest.

If you would otherwise finance at GWM Finance's standard rate (typically 7 to 9 per cent), the 1.99 per cent finance offer will save you significantly more than $2000 over a three-year term on most variants. On a $50,000 loan over three years, the difference between 1.99 per cent and 7 per cent in interest paid is roughly $4000.

However, the 1.99 per cent rate may have stricter eligibility, no balloon payment options or other small-print conditions. Check whether you can still get the $2000 cash off as a separate negotiated discount on the drive-away price even when financing through the 1.99 per cent program. Some dealers will let you stack a smaller cash incentive on top, others will not.

What dealers will not volunteer

Three things to check before signing on a GWM EOFY deal. First, the drive-away pricing GWM publishes is a national figure based on Victorian rates. Other states have different stamp duty, registration and CTP costs, so the actual cheque you write may vary by $500 to $1500 in either direction.

Second, ask whether the H6 Ultra PHEV's complimentary wall charger includes installation. Most do not. Wall charger installation typically costs $800 to $2000 depending on the home electrical setup, and a 'free wall charger' that requires $1500 to install is worth $200 net, not the full retail value.

Third, the offer is on MY25 stock. The model year matters at resale, particularly for utes and PHEVs that sell to fleet buyers who care about the build year stamped on the compliance plate. Ask the dealer to confirm the build month before committing, because the same model year can be assembled across two calendar years.

Where the GWM range fits in 2026

GWM's positioning in Australia in 2026 is a long way from where the brand was three years ago. The Cannon Alpha PHEV is genuinely competitive against the BYD Shark 6 on outputs and electric range. The Tank 500 Ultra PHEV at $79,990 drive-away is one of the better-value seven-seat off-road SUVs on the market. The Haval H6 PHEV is one of the few mid-size hybrid SUVs available with a plug-in option at this price point.
